About Electrical Conductivity
Most dissolved solids are ionic salts. The higher the concentration of the dissolved salts, the higher the electrical conductivity (EC).
You will test the electrical conductivity of your water samples using an ECScan Low conductivity meter as described in the method. (pdf – 250 kB)
Record your results (Word 200 kB).
How do your water sample results compare to the ANZECC Water Quality Guidelines? (Assume the sample is from an upland river.)
